HORIZON CAMPUS – OFFERING WORLD CLASS DEGREES TO STUDENTS UNDER THE GOVERNMENT INTEREST FREE STUDENT LOAN SCHEME (IFSLS)
View(s):Horizon Campus, Malabe has announced the availability of world class degree programmes for students who have not been able to gain entrance to state owned universities, under the Government funded Interest Free Student Loan Scheme (IFSLS) facilitated though the Non State Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education.
The IFSLS initiative, introduced by the Government, encourages students who have successfully passed the GCE A/L exam to apply for a world class degree from selected higher education institutions, giving them the opportunity to complete their higher education with access to student facilities, an environment inducive to studies within the confines of a modern campus. Horizon Campus is one of few pioneering institutions to participate in the IFSLS, which commenced in the year 2016
A number of international calibre degrees are offered at Horizon Campus under the IFSLS, each one carefully curated to enhance the capabilities and talents of the students. The repayment period of this Interest free Loan is set at 12 years in duration, where the student only starts to repay the loan after the completion of the 5th year from the application date of the loan. In other words, the student will be free of the financial burden while he or she is reading for the degree programme and an additional year to secure a job opportunity.
The interest component of the loan is absorbed by the Government.
Under the IFSLS umbrella, Horizon Campus offers degrees in IT, Accounting, Education, Science and Management Faculties, giving the students the opportunity of internship for 06 months and training, along with career guidance and English language and computer skills.
