Nepal Tour operators visited Sri Lanka
View(s):A group of twenty top Nepal tour operators was in Sri Lanka on a familiarisation tour last month with the assistance and leadership of the Nepal Association of Travel and Tour Agents.
The main interest of this group is to encourage and source Sri Lankan outbound tour operators to promote Nepal for Pilgrimage, leisure and adventure tourism and vice versa. However in this group there had been few agents who were handling outbound tourist from Nepal as well, where some of the local counter parts took the opportunity to promote Sri Lanka as a destination to these operators too.
President of Nepal Association of Travel and Tour Agents Achyut Guragain led the delegation, where they worked hand in hand with all their counter parts from the IATA agents association of Sri Lanka and the Travel agents association of Sri Lanka.
Sabry Bahaudeen the President of Travel Agent Association of Sri Lanka and Janath Vidanage the president of IATA, were present at the meeting at Ramada Hotel Colombo.
Nepal Association of Travel and Tour Agents are keen to promote the traffic from Katmandu as Sri Lankan airlines will introduced four flights a week to Kathmandu.
