Troupe led by Buster Moon rocks city – ‘Sing 2’
View(s):Following the success of 2016 animated musical comedy ‘Sing’, ‘Sing 2’ featuring Buster Moon and his friends is now being screened theatres in Colombo.
Written and directed by Garth Jennings, ‘Sing 2’ stars Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Scarlett Johansson, Nick Kroll, Taron Egerton, Tori Kelly, Nick Offerman and Jennings himself, reprising their roles from the first film. The sequel also features new characters voiced by Bobby Cannavale, Halsey, Pharrell Williams, Letitia Wright, Eric André, Chelsea Peretti, and Bono.
‘Sing 2’ tells the story of Buster Moon and his troupe as they plan to perform in Redshore City to put on a show for a media mogul while working to enlist a legendary rock star to perform with them.
Produced by Illumination and distributed by Universal Pictures. The sequel to the 2016 film Sing, the film is now being screened at Liberty by Scope Cinemas, PVR Colombo 2, Milano 2 – Kegalle, Scope Cinemas (CCC) – Colombo 2, Kandy City Center – Kandy, Maxx Lite – Moratuwa and Vista Lite – Ja-Ela.
The film premiered at the AFI Fest on November 14 and was theatrically released in the United States on December 22 in RealD 3D, by Universal Pictures.
