2021 A/L exams to go ahead as planned, no changes to schedule
View(s):The 2021 GCE A/L exams will be held from February 7 onwards, and no changes will be made regarding the date for, senior Education Ministry official said recently.
“The exams will be held as scheduled and the questions papers have already been printed,” the official said.
He said according to the Ministry’s calculations, students had a period of five and half months to prepare for the exams. Some students and other people were of the opinion that the exams should be held early while others wanted the exams to be delayed.
However, according to the Education Ministry’s assessments and the analysis of attendance in A/L classes, sufficient time has been given to prepare for the exams, he added.
He also said the papers will be made in accordance to the syllabus.
“If the students are not prepared they can sit the next set of exams in August,” he added.
The official said students hoping to gain admission to state universities and foreign universities would face a disadvantage if the exams were postponed once again.
