La Petite Fleur steps into the third decade “outrageously happy”

On 6th January 2022, La Petite Fleur Schools celebrated 29 years of providing “Service to the Child”
Initiated in Ratmalana in 1992 as a brainchild of Mrs Bernadine Anderson, fondly known as ‘Aunty Bernie’, La Petite Fleur (LPF) Academy provides an authentically child-centred Early Years Education programme of international standard sespousing an ethos of nurturing growth in every aspect of life. The LPF Academy in Dehiwela established 15 years ago, takes this ethos up to Cambridge Advanced Level.
As genuine advocates for the Child the La Petite Fleur (LPF) Academy is authentically child-centred and offers inclusive education in the real sense in their network of schools at Ratmalana, Dehiwela and Galle.
Founder and Directress Mrs Bernadine Anderson is also the founder of the Bridge2Peace Schools, established to serve the poorest of the poor through Early Education and community development.
The occasion was graced by Rev. Fr. Prageeth Chamara and Rev. Fr. Daya Welikadaarachch from the parishes of Ratmalana and Dehiwela who blessed the schools, students – ranging from toddlers to teenagers –, staff, and school board that included Director Mr Anton Anderson, MD of Scanwell Logistics, who has been a veritable pillar of strength for the last three decades.
The 29th-anniversary celebrations coincided with the launching of the school motto for 2022 “Be outrageously happy” and the opening of the new school building incorporates student involvement, environmental consciousness and community interest – the perfect example of the LPF ethos – at The LPF Academy in Dehiwela.
