New MoU signed to provide Lankan students with scholarships
View(s):Sri Lanka and Hungary have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under which 20 Lankan undergraduate and post graduate students will be entitled to scholarships.
The MoU was reached within the framework of the Stipendium Hungaricum programme for 2022-2024.
The scholarships will be available annually in a wide array of academic fields including engineering, sciences, economics and water management.
Sri Lanka is the 86th country to benefit from the scholarship programme.
Education Minister Dinesh Gunawardena signed the MoU on behalf of the Sri Lankan Government.
The MoU was reached during the visit of the Hungarian Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Péter Szijjártó on Wednesday.
The visiting minister also met with Foreign Minister
