NSBM Green University ‘Career Fair – 2021’

NSBM Green University held its Career Fair – 2021, on 08th & 09th January 2022 at its Green University premises in Pitipana, Homagama. This two-day fair, carried out for the 4th consecutive year, was able to link over 50 leading companies with more than 2,000 fresh graduates and undergraduates of NSBM.
The Career Guidance Unit of NSBM organized the Career Fair to support graduates of the Faculty of Business, Faculty of Computing and Faculty of Engineering of NSBM, who are yet be graduated in January 2022 and are, therefore, available for full-time employment. In addition, final year undergraduates of NSBM who are available for internships also attended the Career Fair.
This mutually beneficial initiative encompassed companies seeking candidates for entry-level employment and internships/training opportunities, conducted via on-site interviews. The majority of the candidates were successful in either securing employment or being shortlisted for final interviews at the Career Fair itself.
Sysco LABS & HCL Technologies (Pvt) Ltd partnered with NSBM Career Fair-2021 as gold sponsors, whereas MAS Holdings PLC & Nations Trust Bank as Silver sponsors. In addition, IFS R&D International Private Limited, Orel IT, Pearson Lanka (Private) Limited, Virtusa (Pvt) Ltd & Enadoc (Pvt) Ltd came on board as bronze sponsors.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor of NSBM Green University, Prof. Chaminda Rathnayake declared open the NSBM Career Fair in the presence of Head of Academic Development and Quality Assurance, Prof. Baratha Dodankotuwa and Academics & Non-academics of NSBM. Representatives from the sponsoring organisations and participating companies were also
present at the opening ceremony.
