Nalin Wijetilleke
Nalin Wijetilleke – a Sri Lankan IT Audit and Business Continuity professional has been awarded the ISACA HALL OF FAME AWARD 2022.
ISACA (erstwhile Information Systems Audit and Control Association) is a large US-based global professional body for IT Audit, Security, Risk, Data Privacy and IT Governance with more than 150,000 members worldwide. The ISACA Sri Lanka chapter also has been active over the past 25 years and is currently headed by Mahendiran Prashanthan – Head of IT Overseas Operations at LOLC.
Nalin Wijetilleke was previously with Bank of Ceylon and the HNB in Sri Lanka before moving over to Dubai and then to New Zealand where he currently lives. He is an alumnus of St. Aloysius College, Galle, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM) and University of Olu -Finland.
He has held numerous voluntary roles with ISACA including ISACA UAE Chapter President. His inspirational leadership capabilities and orientation towards people have been highly appreciated by people of different communities and nationalities.
He strongly believes in uplifting people’s potential through competency development and upskilling to meet the current needs in a digital world. He has mentored several Sri Lankans to advance, adapt and acquire higher professional accreditations. He regularly writes to various professional journals and publications, delivers keynote speeches, presentations and workshops. He has been an expert reviewer for the ISACA IT Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Audit Programme publication. He is the author of two upcoming books, ‘Weathering the storm – 8 easy steps to survive & thrive for the Small Business Owner’ and ‘Continuity is the key’.
This is the first time a Sri Lankan has been recognised for such an award for distinguished services, exemplary achievements, and noteworthy contributions to advancing technology worldwide. He has been invited to New Orleans, LA, USA to receive the award in person in May 2022.
Nalin Wijetilleke is the Managing Director at ContinuityNZ – a New Zealand based consulting entity focussed on Business Continuity, IT Disaster Recovery, Disaster Risk Reduction and Business Resilience.
