RigServ eyes SL’s competitive cost and high productivity

While opening its global resource centre in Sri Lanka with its partnership with IFS, RigServ, a supply chain and technology consulting company based in the US is eying the competitive cost and high productivity in Sri Lanka.
“Sri Lanka has a highly educated population, happy people, competitive cost and high productivity, high level of English speakers, strategic location and global IFS hub are the reasons for RigServ to invest in Sri Lanka,” said one of the Co-CEO’s of the company Chris Collins, who jointly made the presentation along with Co-CEO Chris Kadavil at the launch of the resource centre at the Kingsbury Hotel in Colombo on Thursday.
RigServ’s current active projects include supply chain consulting, technology and systems consulting, supply chain outsourcing, enterprise business intelligence reporting, process improvement, ERP systems management, master data maintenance and cleansing, inventory reviews, full lifecycle software development, business transformations, project management and quality management.
Coinciding with the launch, RigServ entered into a partnership with the University of Colombo to offer a bursary for two technology students per batch for the entire degree. In addition, RigServ intends to train and certify IFS applicants who are fresh out of university in an effort to produce new resources to the IFS ecosystem and provide opportunities to new graduates within the country.
Commenting on this endeavour Mr. Collins said, “RigServ was thrilled to have partnered with the Colombo University to mould future professionals. We perceive this initiative to be a win-win, we gain access to a pool of young, brilliant minds and the prospective trainees are afforded an opportunity to gain international experience and exposure within Sri Lanka by working under the mentorship of our experts.”
As a member of IFS’s growing partner network since 2015, RigServ’s services will extend to areas of implementations of IFS’s robust Enterprise Resource Planning, Enterprise Asset Management and Enterprise Service Management software solutions. The new agreement is intended to support IFS’s aim of developing an ecosystem that allows enterprises to better penetrate the market by enhancing technology and knowledge resources for IFS products.
