Brush up your word power for LAF’s Scrabble Bash
View(s):“Know Dementia, Know Alzheimer’s”, is the theme for 2022 promoted by the Dementia community around the globe.
The Lanka Alzheimer’s Foundation (LAF) which leads the campaign on behalf of persons and carers affected by dementia will launch its first awareness event for this year on February 26 with the annual Scrabble Bash Tournament that is being held after a lapse in 2021 due to the pandemic.
The tournament is organised by Shaila Amalean, a former national player and her team.
All adults who have been fully vaccinated are encouraged to participate. Those interested should call the Lanka Alzheimer’s office on tel. nos: 2667080, 2667082 or 2667084 to register.
The entry fee is Rs.2500 per participant and Rs.10,000 for a team of four players.
Registration starts at 9 a.m. Participants are requested to be on time at the Lanka Alzheimer’s Foundation at 110, Ketawalamulla Lane, Colombo 10.
