Chaminda Mendis shines as Petroleum Corporation clinch NSCA T20 title
A solid all-round effort by Chaminda Mendis helped Petroleum Corporation record a comfortable 27-run win over Insurance Corporation in the finals of the Nationalised Services Cricket Association Veteran’s T20 tournament played at Ratmalana on Friday.
Chasing136 to win, Insurance Corporation managed 108 runs with Mendis finishing with best figures of 3 for 12 to help his side clinch the title.
Eralier Deeraka Balasuriya (47), Menaka Jayasinghe (33) and Mendis (27) took Petroleum Corporation to 135 at the end of their 20 overs.
