Joint partnerships with leading industries and their collaboration with NSBM support the student to find the right workplace as an intern after completing their second academic year.The Bachelor of Interior Design degree is afull-timeprogrammethat takes a minimum of 3 years with an internship of 6 months to complete. The first two years of the degree are focused on developing fundamental skills related to design and design theories, where students receive many studio-based projects to apply theoretical knowledge gained from general classroom lectures. The third and final year comprises an internship which is mandatory for the completion of the degree programme.
BSc in Multimedia
BSc in Multimedia is a three-year degree programme offered by NSBM with the approval of the University Grants Commission(UGC). This multidisciplinary course provides students with a comprehensive education in the design process, research, management, production, execution, and evaluation. This degree programme focuses mainly on five key areas of Graphic Design, namely,Advertising and Branding, Video Production and Filming, 2D and 3D Animation, UI/UX Design, and Game Design. Students are given the opportunity to combine conceptual skills with technical skills to convertinnovative design ideas to design executions using the software.
There are many career opportunities available for graduates of BSc Multimedia in all aforementioned areas in the modern-day industry. BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying is a new avenue available under the Department of Design Studies. This is currently a highly demanding subject area that could generate more demand in the construction industry.
