Discourse on Chapter IV of the Bhagavad Gita
View(s):Bhagavad Gita is a manual of life. It enunciates the ancient philosophy of Vedanta that presents the eternal and universal principles of life and living which transcend the barriers of race and religion, caste and creed.
Chapter IV of the Bhagavad Gita explains how to convert daily activities into a yajna, worship. Yajna signifies actions dedicated to a higher ideal and performed with a spirit of service and sacrifice. Thus by converting daily activities into worship one attains prosperity, peace and ultimate perfection.
Sunandaji, daughter and disciple of Swami Parthasarathy, the world renowned Vedanta philosopher has been studying and researching on Vedanta, for over three decades. Her clear and powerful presentation of the Bhagavad Gita in contemporary thought has been acclaimed in India and abroad. She will be delivering discourses on chapter IV of the Bhagavad Gita from Saturday, March 19 – Tuesday, March 22 from 6.45 p.m – 8 p.m. The Kanapathy Chetty Selvanathan Charitable Trust is the primary sponsor of the annual Bhagavad Gita discourses.
‘An Insight into life’, a specially designed Vedanta youth course by Umayal Venugopal, disciple of Swami Parthasarathy will be on from March 26- April 23 every Saturday 6.30 – 7.30 p.m.
