Negombo CC record third win
Negombo CC recorded their third win of the Major Club Emerging cricket tournament beating Kurunegala YCC by innings and 50 runs at Katunayake yesterday.
The win was set up by bowlers Sheshan Fernando, Pasindu Ushettige and Nishan Peiris. They shared 19 wickets between them. Earlier Rashmika Mevan and Pasindu Lakshan hit half centuries as Negombo CC scored 284 in their first essay.
Saracens SC and Kandy Customs CC too secured wins with a day to spare. Saracens coasted to a seven wicket victory against Bloomfield at Reid Avenue to record their second win while Kandy Customs CC overcame Ace Capital CC by three wickets to record their first win of the tournament.
