Prefects’ Investiture 2022 – Nakano College – Bandaragama
View(s):The prefects’ investiture 2022 of Nakano College, Bandaragama was held on 23rd March at Maithreee hall Bandaragama.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Mr. Upali Thalagala, Assistant Superintendent for Bandaragama Police division while the Guest of Honor was the Iranga Wedage, the wife of Senior Superintendent of police – Panadura division.
Fifty three newly appointed prefects took their oath in the induction ceremony on this day.
The key positions of the prefect board are as follows.
Head Prefects – Boy – Ravindu Tharin
Head Prefects – Girl – kaushali Kishala
Games Captain – Boy – Savitha Dulmith Perera
Games Captain – Girl – Ameesha Sahansi Fernando
This ceremonial function was attended by the Director of Nakano College Ven. Kumburugamuwe Soratha Thero, General Manager, Nakano College Major General Lionel Felix Kasthuriarachchi Advisor to Nakano College, Mr. Ranjith Premasiri and the School management, the parents of the prefects too attended the ceremony.
Addressing the gathering, Ms. Iranga Wedage said that the younger generation should understand that’s difficulties and sacrifices their parents have undergone to bring up their children. Unfortunately young students today underestimate the experience and the knowledge of their parents.
Addressing the parents and prefects the principal of Nakano College said the prefects are leader of student body who embody the good qualities and normal that the school has to offer. Prefects should always serve the school while improving their leadership qualities.
The Head boy Rovindu Tharin spoke on the occasion explaining the duties and responsibilities of prefects. Head girl Kaushali Kishala proposed the vote of thanks.
