Several commemorative events too were held at Galle Face Green in remembrance of the Easter Sunday attack victims. The third anniversary of the attacks which claimed the lives of 271 people was on Thursday.

Mr Appuhami told the gathering that he wanted the Government to carryout a proper investigation into the bombings and ensure that justice was upheld for the families affected.

He had to be taken away for medical attention after a while at the Galle Face Green. He started his journey on Tuesday evening from St Sebastian’s Church, Katuwapitiya where more than 100 people were killed in one of the suicide attacks on April 21, 2019.
