View(s): Ananda National School, Puttalam reached the quarter-finals of the SLSCA Under-19 Division III Tier ‘B’ segment, after overcoming Mahanama College, Monaragala by 8 wickets at Puttalam yesterday.
Electing to bat first, Mahanama Monaragala were restricted to 148-9, forcing the game to become a low-scoring affair. Two unbeaten knocks by Steven Ruwintha (56) and Suneth Tharanaga (47) helped Ananda NS to reach the target halfway through of their allotted number of overs.
