Ed. Ministry draws up strategy for learning to continue in spite of fuel crisis
View(s):The Education Ministry has drawn a strategy to ensure that educational activities are carried out with no interruptions despite issues over transportation and other disruptions.
The plan has been explained by the Ministry officials to the zonal educational directors.
Accordingly the Ministry has decided that schools should make arrangements to ensure that efforts will be taken to get down students from grade one to five to the respective school or the nearest school.
The decision has been taken taking into consideration that many students between grades one and five live in the vicinity of their school and transport issues will not affect them badly.
The Ministry has also taken into consideration that online education was not effective for students between grades one and five.
For students between grade six and nine, the Ministry had instructed the zonal education directors to check if online educational systems could be made use of.
However, for students between grade 10 and 13, the Ministry had advised that all measures should be taken to get children to schools to complete the syllabus. The Ministry had said it was not possible to complete the syllabus unless the students were brought to school.
The Ministry had noted that online education, had not been effective in completing syllabuses for students between grade 10 and 13.
The plans had been drawn taking into consideration the possibilities that fuel issues could be prevail in the near future.
