Two big Hollywood movies to hit Lanka this weekend

Two Hollywood movies were releases in Sri Lanka during this weekend. ‘The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’ was released on Friday, 20th May, while the movie ‘Memory’ to hit the Lankan screen on 22nd Sunday.
‘The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’ is a 2022 American action comedy film directed by Tom Gormican, who co-wrote the screenplay with Kevin Etten. The film stars Nicolas Cage as a fictionalised version of himself, along with a supporting cast that includes Pedro Pascal, Sharon Horgan, Ike Barinholtz, Alessandra Mastronardi, Jacob Scipio, Neil Patrick Harris, and Tiffany Haddish. Actor Nicolas Cage plays a fictionalised version of himself who he said bears little resemblance to his real off-screen personality.
‘Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent’ will be screened at LSC – Liberty by Scope Cinemas, CCC – Colombo City Center, PVR -Colombo 2 and at KCC – Kandy City Centre Cinemas.
‘Memory’ is a 2022 American action thriller directed by Martin Campbell from a screenplay by Dario Scardapane. It is based on the novel De Zaak Alzheimer by Jef Geeraerts and is a remake of the novel’s previous adaptation, the Belgian film The Alzheimer Case. The film stars Liam Neeson as an aging hitman with early onset dementia who must go on the run after declining a contract on a young girl; Guy Pearce, Monica Bellucci, Harold Torres, Taj Atwal and Ray Fearon also star. Memory was theatrically released in the United States on April 29, 2022 by Open Road Films, and received generally mixed reviews from critics.
The film will be screened at LSC – Liberty by Scope Cinemas, CCC – Colombo City Center, PVR-Colombo-2, Milano Kegalle and Majestic Cinema, Bambalapitiya.
