National Education Policy in the works
View(s):A National Education Policy draft will be submitted in a few weeks, a senior National Education Commission official told the President on Friday.
The disclosure was made during a meeting with President Gotabaya Rajapaksa where the President met with education sector officials.
The official said the Education Policy draft was being prepared and would be ready in a few weeks.
The education reform plans were discussed in detail. Attention was drawn towards completing the syllabuses for the G.C.E O/L and A/L exams as well.
Education Minister Susil Premajayantha said proper avenues should be prepared so students have options to continue education after leaving school.
