Yudeera, Thanushgar, Layla and Venuli annex Singles titles

Boys Under-12 champion Yudeera Atapattu
Yudeera Atapattu, Thanushgar Kokilathar, Leyla Knese and Venuli Jayasinghe walked away with singles titles at the Kandy Garden Club Tennis Tournament 2022, which was held at the club’s tennis courts in Kandy on May 7 and 8.
This weekend tournament, organised by the Garden Club attracted young boys and girls from Colombo, Kandy, Matale, Kurunegala, Negombo and Batticaloa.
Ravi Ramanathan was the tournament director while Nalaka Ratnayake officiated as the tournament referee representing Sri Lanka Tennis Association. Benny Perera, the President of Kandy Garden Club graced the presentation ceremony as the chief guest.

- Boys Under-12: Yudeera Atapattu (Kurunegala) beat Chamath Dharmaratne (Kurunegala) 2-20 (4-0, 4-1)
- Boys Under-16: Thanushgar Kokilathar (Batticaloa) beat Chamidu Abeysinghe (Kurunegala) 2-1 (1-4, 4-2,10-7)
- Girls Under-12: Leyla Knese (Negombo) beat Madumali Kamalendran (Colombo) 2-0 (4-2, 4-2)
- Girls Under-16: Venuli Jayasinghe (Kurunegala) beat Hesara Imihamy (Kurunegala) 2-1 (2-4, 4-2,11-9)
