Another milestone for Rev. Fr. Victor Silva: A Ph.D. in education
View(s):Rev. Fr. Victor Silva reached another milestone in his illustrious academic career after successfully completing his doctoral studies in education from the University of Azteca in Mexico, through Standard Institute of Business Management (SIBM) in Battaramulla.
After obtaining a Baccalaureate in Theology (B.Th.) from the University of Urbania in Rome, he pursued his studies to complete a Baccalaureate in Arts (B.A.), from the University of Peradeniya, while residing at the national seminary in Ampitiya.
Later on he enrolled in the Institute of Education, at the renowned University of London (UK), where he completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Education and obtained a Master’s Degree (MA) specialising in Educational Psychology from the same university.
Having served for a long period in two great academic institutions—St. Peter’s College in Bambalapitiya and St. Joseph’s College in Colombo 10—he recently crowned his academic career with a Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Education.
At present, he is serving as the Director of the ‘Subodhi’ Institute of Integral Education in Piliyandala.
