LF System debuts chart-topper

The production outfit LF System has taken pole position on the UK singles chart with ‘Afraid To Feel’. The song is the debut chart topper for the Scottish duo which comprises Conor Larkman and Sean Finnigan. The song samples the disco track ‘I Can’t Stop (Turning You On)’ by Silk from the year 1975. The track went viral on social media and hence ended where it is today. The song starts at slow pace and speeds up later throughout the house inspired. ‘Afraid To Feel’ is a nu disco house inspired track. It took six weeks for the song to journey to the No: 1 spot. It began at No: 69 then jumped to 13, 4, 3, 2 and this week is the UK’s chart topping song.
Nathan Dawe and Ella Henderson’s single advances up the singles chart
Nathan Dawe and Ella Henderson’s ’21 Reasons’ advanced into the UK top 10 singles chart, the only track to be able the cross into the big 10 territory this week. The song samples Rune Reilly Koelsch’s dance song ‘Calabria’ of 2003. The song has taken 10 weeks to reach the top 10 staring way down at 65. The video to the track has a live setting shot in Ibiza giving ’21 Reasons’. Dawe and Henderson had previously worked on ‘Lighter’ featuring KSI. However Ella was an uncredited vocalist on the song that peaked at No: 3 in 2020.
Leigh-Anne Pinnock collaborating with Raye
Leigh-Anne Pinnock is collaborating with the singer and writer Raye. The 30 year old took to social media recently to confirm the two were working together. Reports suggest Leigh-Anne Pinnock is going to drop her surname to pursue her solo career as Leigh-Anne. Recently the song ‘I Need You’ widely thought to be her debut solo single was leaked online but was quickly taken down by her label. She is also said to be planning to publish a book sometime in the near future. Leigh-Anne Pinnock is part of the successful all girl group Little Mix that did a farewell tour in April before taking a hiatus as members want to pursue solo careers. 
Guitar legend Carlos Santana postpones six of his concerts
Guitar legend Carlos Santana has postponed six of his concerts as he is resting after collapsing on stage on July 5. The 74 year old was performing in Michigan as part of his Miraculous Supernatural Tour as a result of heat and dehydration. All his concerts after 23rd July are confirmed as per reports. 
Shawn Mendes pulls out of Wonder World Tour
Shawn Mendes has pulled out of his Wonder World Tour owing to mental health issues. The 23 year old singer cancelled his concert on July 9 in St. Paul, Minnesota in the US a day before and issued a statement rescheduling 12 of his shows. Constant touring since the age of 15, missing his family etc., has taken a toll on his mental health. Mendes is best known for his hit collaborations ‘Senorita’ with Camila Cabello and ‘Monster’ with fellow Canadian Justin Bieber.
