The cricket match was played between medical doctors who are past pupils of leading state medical universities in Belarus versus the present medical students currently studying at their respective universities. The match was held at the Malay Cricket Grounds in Colombo 2.

An evening cocktail later followed the friendly match with the presence of Belarussian dignitaries, medical doctors, students and parents at the Mont Blanc Hall, Movenpick Hotel Colombo 3.
