Declaring The Centennial Celebration Of St.anthony’s College Muruthana……….…
View(s):Last month (on the 8th of July 2022) the Centennial year of St Anthony’s College Muruthana Kochchikade was declared by Rev Fr.Gemunu Dias Director of Catholic schools together with Rev Fr.Dinesh Priyashantha Parish Priest of Thoppu at a simple ceremony attended by Miss Nishani Chandrasena Zonal Director -Negombo and other guests followed by the Holy Mass offered at the school.
A series of events to mark the centennial celebration which will be held on the 13th of June 2023 are to be launched with the help of the past pupils and well wishers.
The school which had been initially established with a handful of children was later permanently established at the present building on the 13th of June 1923 and still stands witness to the great contribution the missionary fathers made towards the education of Sri Lankans in our motherland.
The school takes pride in gifting to the world prominent personalities like Priests, Educational Directors, Principals, Lawyers and hundreds of good citizens.
Mrs Udani Silva newly appointed principal is taking great efforts to uplift the school with the help of the past pupils and well wishers.
