CCCLine Bikeathon 2022 from September 4
View(s):CCCLine – 1333 – the toll free phone support service, is a project of the CCC Foundation which has been functional since 2009, supported by the annual Bikeathon, to create awareness on the availability of the service for all Sri Lankans and to raise funds to operate the CCC Line.
The Bikeathon is traditionally a ride which covers 1333kms, over 13 days across Sri Lanka to end on September 10 which is the world suicide prevention day. During the ride the riders from Sri Lanka as well as overseas, create awareness and raise funds to facilitate the CCC Line.
The availability of the service to support crisis support needs as well as prevent Sri Lankans resorting to drastic measures without having the option to talk has been a burning need of the society. The 1333 toll free service is available for access from any phone any time during the day. Trained resources supporting the callers have been helping Sri Lankans over a long period of time.
The annual Bikeathon that helps the maintenance of the CCC Line will be curtailed somewhat during this year. Given the current environment the ride will be a shorter version with limited participants. It will start off on September 4 and end on September 10.
CCC Line support service is available for anyone from anywhere, from any phone service completely free 24×7. Trained counselors support the callers on voluntary basis, the CCC Line is the second project managed by the CCC Foundation.
The CCC House a Transit Home for Cancer Patients who have to obtain ‘Day Treatment’, during their treatment is the other project we are part of. CCC Foundation is an approved charity, managed by a committed team of members and has been providing its services for over a decade now.
