Pulindu guides Rajans to easy win
A quick-fire 91-ball knock of 137 inclusive of 14 boundaries and eight towering sixes by Pulindu Perera helped Dharmaraja to begin their campaign of the Under-19 Inter-School Limited Over Cricket Tournament with an easy 98-run win over Zahira Colombo in the match played at Lake View yesterday.
Pulindu shared a valuable partnership of 146 runs for the second wicket with Nisala Abeyratne for Dharmaraja, who took the first lease of the wicket and made a formidable total of 256 runs. Zahira in their turn was able to muster only 169 runs.
The other matches ended in comfortable wins for St. Joseph’s, Ananda, St. Servatius Matara, Gurukula Kelaniya and Richmond Galle.
