Trinity College opened their 2022 cricket season on a winning note when they beat Royal College by 45 runs in their Sri Lanka Schools Cricket Association conducted Under-19 encounter which concluded at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy yesterday. Trinity made 191 in their allotted 50 overs and bowled out Royal 146 runs with almost 10 overs remaining. Theeraka Ranathunge was outstanding for Trinity with his allround performance. He scored 47 and with his left-arm spins, returned to claim 4 for 15.
