MoU signed to improve English knowledge and skills of A/L children
View(s):A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed last week between the Rotary Club of Colombo Mid City and the Rotary Club Nuwara Eliya at the latter’s District Governor’s official residence to conduct English classes on a monthly basis for six months, in Nuwara Eliya from January next year.
The Rotary Club of Colombo Mid City will leverage the knowledge and expertise of the club’s professional network to carryout career related workshops, based on the needs of the students, bringing together resource personnel from different industries, to further the students’ knowledge.
Rotary Club of Colombo Mid City President Shaleeka Jayalath said members of both clubs were enthusiastic about the initiatives, which will enhance the Rotary Foundation’s role in positively impacting global education.
The objective of the project is to improve the literary knowledge of A/L students in the Nuwara Eliya district by providing them Spoken English classes on a monthly basis.
