A civil engineer with over 40 years of wood-based industry experience, Wijesekara is a curriculum writer on wood-related subjects for World University Services, Canada, the National Institute of Education, NAITA, and has lectured on wood technology at the Moratuwa University and the University of Sri Jayawardanapura.
He is the founder chairman of Leema Creations (Pvt) Ltd.
