Air Force salutes its Asian champion team members

Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) promoted the national netball player and Leading Aircraftwoman Rashmi Perera to the next rank of Corporal in appreciation of her performance to achieve the 12th Asian Netball Championship.
The promotion was signified at a special ceremony held at the Air Force Headquarters under the patronage of the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana, where Perera and her teammate from SLAF Squadron Leader Chathurangi Jayasooriya were felicitated alongside SLAF’s Men’s and Women’s teams who claimed top honours at the Munchee Super League Volleyball Championship, SLAF bodybuilder, Leading Aircraftman Chaminda Peiris, who won the Mr. Sri Lanka title and the other victorious teams who gained titles at national level in shooting, lifesaving and wrestling.
