Kingswood College fought back to force a thrilling draw against traditional rivals Dharmaraja College in their 115th annual Battle of the Maroons of the Hills concluded at the Asgiriya ground in Kandy yesterday.

Needing 57 runs for a comprehensive victory, Dharmaraja were forced to defend as they rapidly attempted to chase down the target, but lost four quick wickets within a span of four overs. Dharmaraja were in command after bowling out KInswood for 199 in their second innings, which paved them the way to an easy win.

Electing to bowl, Dharmaraja skittled out Kingswood for 127 and responded well by scoring 269 runs in their first innings.
