Inauguration Ceremony at College of Chemical Sciences, Institute of Chemistry Ceylon
View(s):The Inauguration ceremony of the 43rd Graduateship in Chemistry (GIC) programme and the 5th BSc (Hons) in Chemical Science was held on the 15th of October 2022 at Adamantane House Rajagiriya. The event was graced by Senior Professor Chandana P. Udawatte, Vice Chairman, University Grants Commission Sri Lanka as the chief guest whilst Mr. Dilshard Perera, Director of Sales, Marketing and HR at Bellose Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. Graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor. Mr. N.M.S Hettigedara, the president of the Institute of Chemistry Ceylon delivered the welcome address.

It was followed by the Inaugural address by the chief guest where he highlighted the role played by the institute of Chemistry Ceylon to uplift the standards of Chemical Science education in Sri Lanka and also to the chemical community at large.
Mr. Dilshard Perera addressed the audience followed by the Vote of Thanks Delivered by Prof. Ramanee Wijesekara, the Dean of College of Chemical Sciences (CCS). Upon the completion of the inauguration ceremony, the trailing programme where the incoming students were given an introduction to the Curriculum, Laboratory, and Library. This event was attended by an audience of over 350 parents and students.
