Hashel impresses at Novices Aquatic Championship

Hashel Gavin Senarath of Gateway College, Colombo is an aspiring swimmer who impressed at the recent Novices Aquatic Championships. The 10-year-old with a time of 37.61 seconds clinched gold in the Under-11 50m Butterfly event and then produced an impressive time of 3:11.78 seconds in the 200m Individual Medley to clinch his second gold medal. In the 50m Freestyle, he finished third with a time of 35.58 seconds. Hashel also excelled at the recent Inter-Gateway Swimming Championships becoming the Under-12 Boys age group champion.
