Namalie Herath, new Managing Partner for GroupM Sri Lanka
View(s):Namalie Herath, CEO Wavemaker Sri Lanka has been appointed as Managing Partner of GroupM Sri Lanka.
An alumna of the University of Colombo, Ms. Herath started her career at J Walter Thompson Sri Lanka. She was instrumental in launching MEC in Sri Lanka, and then went on to head Wavemaker when the two entities, MEC & Maxus, were merged.
She will be reporting to Sriram Sharma, Senior Vice President – Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Marketing South Asia. On the appointment, Prasanth Kumar, CEO GroupM South Asia said, “Namalie has been a great team player at Wavemaker and has contributed immensely to the agency.
Sri Lanka is a key market for us, and I am certain that she will continue to build on the momentum with the same zest and I wish her the very best for her new role.”
GroupM Sri Lanka also announced that Sabry Haniz, Chief Operating Officer of GroupM Sri Lanka is moving on from his position at GroupM Sri Lanka. He has been with the GroupM family for more than 20 years in various roles.
