Taylor Swift exploded on the UK charts this week with three new songs debuting inside the singles top 10. Leading the way was ‘Anti-Hero’ the lead single from her 10th album ‘Midnights’. ‘Anti-Hero’ debuted straight at the No: 1 spot. Simultaneously her new album ‘Midnight’s debuted at No: 1 on the UK albums chart. Swift became the first female in nine years to score simultaneous chart topping single and album since Miley Cyrus back in 2003 who made it with the song ‘Wrecking Ball’ and the album ‘Bangerz’.
The mid tempo/synthpop ‘Anti-Hero’ had 17.4 million streams globally the biggest opening day streams on Spotify. ‘Anti-Hero’ is co-written and co-produced with Jack Antonoff. Swift next single ‘Lavender Haze’ debuted on the UK singles chart at No: 3. The upbeat track had 16.4 million streams on the opening day worldwide. The third song from Taylor Swift to debut inside the UK singles chart was ‘Snow On The Beach’. The song features Lana Del Rey, described by Swift be one of her favourite artists. The voices blend well on the mid tempo song which is the fourth track on the album ‘Midnights’. It had 15 million streams in the first day online streams on Spotify.
