Colombo shares recovered further on Thursday amidst renewed investor sentiment, with some analysts saying that this change in the bourse was after the Central Bank said it was not changing Repo and Reverse Repo rates.
The benchmark All Share Index gained 78.23 index points (+1.61%) to close at 4,923.02 while th sensitive Milanka Index gained 77.68 points (+1.80%) to close at 4,381.57 on a daily market turnover which stood at Rs.428.06 million.
Ascot Holdings topped the turnover list with Rs. 48.6 million followed by Commercial Bank (Rs. 24.1 million) and John Keells Holdings (Rs. 22.6 million). Ascot Holdings recorded a crossing of 283,509 shares at a price of Rs.170 per share. (DEC)
