U-19 Asia Cup: Kaushal, Waduge steer Sri Lanka to third win and semis

Sri Lanka beat Qatar by 87 runs under Duckworth/Lewis method in a Group A ACC Under-19s Asia Cup competition match played at Royal Selangor Club in Kuala Lumpur last Tuesday (26).

Sri Lanka who chose to bat first scored 124-2 after the match was revised as a 26-over-per-side game.

Coming in as an opener Pabasara Waduge hit a 81-ball 76 with ten boundaries while Jason Perera made an unbeaten 28 on a slow track.

Off-spinner Tharindu Kaushal shone out for the third occasion with three wickets to steer Sri Lanka to its third consecutive win in the competition.

Unbeaten Sri Lanka will meet India in the second semi-final which will be played on Friday (29).
