Court of Appeal issued a rule on Minister Rishad Bathuideen to appear before the court personally and show cause as to why he should not be punished for intimidating Mannar Magistrate.
The minister was ordered to appear before the court on September 05.
The rule also cautioned that the minister not to intimidate the petitioners, witnesses and their relations.
The orders were issued following the submissions made in a petition by seven lawyers who asked the court to punish the minister for threatening Mannar Magistrate.
