Power generation at Norochcholai coal power plant has come to a halt due to a breakdown in a transmission line from Norochcholai to Veyangoda losing 300 MW of electricity supply to the national grid, Power and Energy Ministry said.
The Ceylon Electricity Board has sent a special team of engineers to look into the fault.
