The Convener of the Inter-University Students Federation (IUSF)-Sanjeewa Bandara has been remanded till September 25 by the Fort Magistrate
Bandara was produced before the Fort Magistrate Kanishka Wijeratne by the Colombo Crime Division (CCD) on charges of vandalism and inciting violence.
Meanwhile the Magistrate also directed that Malaka Silva and Shehan Wijeratne who are currently being held in remand custody over the alleged assault of an army Major to appear in courts tomorrow.
Magistrate Wijeratne also ordered that the army major who has since withdrawn the allegations saying that he was never assaulted by the pair to appear in the same court tomorrow.
