All set for semis

Talent scarch 2001
By Ruwanthi Herat Gunaratne
Once again the Interactors of St. Bridget's Convent and Royal College have come together to present 'Talent Search'. The semi finals will be held today at the Royal College Hall and the finals on Saturday, November 10 at the Navaragahala from 6:30 p.m. onwards.

There's lots of excitement lined up for the finals with guest artistes like Deja vu Channa Wijewardene's dance troupe and Independence Square billed to perform.

The event, which has been dubbed the Interact Grammys this year, has been a forum for aspiring young local artistes for a decade now. The response has been 'tremendous', say members of the organising committee, with two new categories being added to the usual list this year and entries being received from all over the island.

Tickets priced at Rs. 150 are available at the Royal College Union Office, St. Bridget's Convent and at the gate. Main Sponsorship has been taken on by ACCA, and co-Sponsorship by DMS and the National Lotteries Board. Keells and Elephant House will provide food and drinks.

The Sunday Times is the official newspaper for the event
