Sex Pistols celebrate Queen's golden jubilee
The reunion concert of the seventies punk rock British band the Sex Pistols takes place at Crystal Palace, London tomorrow, Monday May 27.

The reunion concert is being held to mark the 25th anniversary of the release of the Pistols' controversial single 'God Save The Queen'. Johnny "Rotten" Lydon and his band released the song in 1977 when the current queen celebrated the Silver Jubilee of her coronation. The song caused an outrage. But with their anti-establishment anti-monarchist views, the song managed to peak at No. 2 in the UK chart.

As the Queen celebrates her Golden Jubilee, the Sex Pistols are re-releasing 'God Save The Queen' and with different times now they expect the song to chart high in the singles game.

Meanwhile, speaking to reporters in Los Angeles ahead of his visit to the UK, Johnny Lydon said, the Sex Pistols reunion concert was planned to avoid the Jubilee weekend since they did not want to spoil the Queen's fun.

The much talked about break-up of the Britney Spears/Justin Timberlake relationship is over.

It is reported Britney Spears insists the couple are back together because their relationship was "too strong to die". She revealed that she resorted to drink after her break-up with Justin. The couple split up in March sparking all kinds of stories and rumours.

The couple have known each other from their childhood. Spears is believed to have said she 'couldn't imagine life without him" (Justin Timberlake). Reports suggest a telephone call from Justin helped in the reconciliation.

Just a Little' is the new No. 1 song in the UK this week by the group Liberty X. This is the very first No. 1 for the group. Liberty X are not strangers to the charts. Last year they notched two hits 'Thinking It Over' No. 5 in October and 'Doin' it' No. 14 in December 2001.

The road to the top was a rough one. The mixed sex group was one of the 10 finalists for the original Popstar contest. They were not chosen and instead the winners were Hear' Say. They were dubbed the "flopstars" but soon managed to sign a record deal with Sir Richard Branson's V2 label. Their troubles were magnified owing to the legal contract to the Popstars contest. Finally, they launched themselves as Liberty.

The obstacles surfaced again as another group claimed to own the name Liberty. So the group had to rebrand themselves and that was how they became Liberty X.
'Just A Little' has been described as their best release so far. The song has been classified as a R&B pop song. Liberty X will release an album tomorrow.

Escape', the new single to chart on the UK singles chart for Enrique Iglesias is the title track of his current album. The song came in at No. 3. The release of 'Escape' was delayed because the previous single 'Hero' is still selling very well. Nevertheless, there are some who hated 'Hero' and instead prefer 'Escape'. The song with its upbeat tempo coupled with a dash of Latin and a steamy video featuring Anna Kournikova has taken Enrique's total of UK hits to 4.

The group A1 had eight consecutive songs inside the UK top 10. Their latest release 'Make It Good' checked into the chart at No. 11. It does not show signs of moving further and may be the first of the group's releases to peak between 11-20.

The song with its storming guitars struggled to keep up in the high sales category since there is a lot of competition from other songs. AI's last single 'Caught In The Middle' peaked at No. 2 in February this year.

Jessica Garlick is the fourth Pop Idol star to score a hit on the UK top 20. His song at No. 13 'Come Back' is the UK's entry to the Eurovision song contest which was held in Estonia last night. 'Come Back' is the highest UK Eurovision entry song to chart in three years.
