Major changes in Army
Army Headquarters has announced changes in several postings of senior officers. Maj. Gen. Anton Wijendra will assume office as Deputy Chief of Staff relinquishing his post as Commandant of the Sri Lanka Volunteer Force Headquarters (SLAVF) from Wednesday. He will be succeeded by Maj. Gen. Shantha Kottegoda, currently Director General, General Staff at Army Headquarters.

Maj. Gen. Chula Seneviratne has been made the new DGGS. His position as Commander, Security Force Headquarters, Wanni is being taken over by Maj. Gen. Susil Chandrapala.

Brig. N. Wijesinghe, officiating GOC of the 52 Division, has been transferred to Army Headquarters. He is succeeded by Brig. G.A. Chandrasiri.

Brig. K.S. Fernando has been appointed as Deputy GOC of 21 Division Headquarters and Co-ordinator in Chief, Mannar. Brig. S.T. Liyanage has been named Director, Personnel Administration at Army Headquarters.
