Party time for CHS Graduates Association
The Ceylon Hotel School 'Graduates Association' had its 31st Annual General Meeting at Eden Resort & Spa recently.

President Elect Adrian Kulatunga is greeted by Ranjan Pieris, GM, Eden Resort and Vice President Palitha Wijeyemanne

Adrian Kulatunge, the General Manager of Blue Water was elected as the new President of the Association. Palitha Wijemanna, the GM of Club Palm Garden was elected as the Vice President. Upul Attanayake and Nishantha Manawadu took the positions as General Secretary and Treasurer.

Chandana Amaradasa, the Business Development Manager of Taj Samudra and Deva Surendra, a senior lecturer of Ceylon Hotels School were elected as assistant secretaries. DGM of BMICH, Bandula Ekanayake was elected assistant Treasurer.

Immediate past President is Jehan Karunaratne, the GM of Reef Comber Hotel. The other recent past Presidents are Sumithra Gunesekera, Director, John Keells and Malin Hapugoda the proprietor of Warahena Walauwa in Induruwa and Club Paradise, Bentota.

Lionel Koralage, the GM of Hotel Mermaid and Chirstopher Saram, the GM of Kani Lanka Hotel (Sindbad) Kalutara were elected as co-editors.

Over 400 distinguished invitees and members were present at this Annual General Meeting. The Chief Guest was the Tourism Minister Gamini Lokuge and the Guest of Honour was Paddy Withana, the Chairman, Sri Lanka Tourist Board.

Bodhi Ranasinghe, the Chairman, Ceylon Hotels Corporation also attended the function.

Paddy Withana, who is a member and a past President of this association, said that during the last 31 years, the association has grown in strength to over 550 members today. The achievement is not measly in numbers. It's members are at the helm of tourism affairs, in hotels, Management companies and in Universities not only in Sri Lanka but around the world too.
