P. Diddy (Sean Combs) had a lavish party to celebrate his
33rd birthday over the weekend in Morocco.

that Diddy was invited by the young monarch of Morocco King Mohammed
V to spend a week in the North African nation in Marrakech at a
staggering cost of a million pounds.
Nearly 300
guests of Diddy flew in from New York and Paris. Among them Naomi
Campbell, Ivana Trump and Gerard Depardieu.
Celebrations
were held at Marble Palace and a French-Moroccan restaurant, Comptoir
Paris in Marrakech. Jugglers, belly dancers and all that is entertainment
were held throughout the weekend. The festivities ended at the Palais
Bahia in Marrakech on Sunday.
P. Diddy who
is also known by his old name Puff Daddy was reported to have danced
with some of the belly dancers and even on some tables.
Run DMC's Jam
Master Jay was shot dead in New York on Friday, November 1. Police
said they had received information about one suspect. Police say
the suspect is a black male between 6-6.2ft and weighing about 180lbs.
The man was seen leaving the scene of the murder wearing a black
sweat suit and black hat. The police had appealed to the public
for further information to apprehend the suspect.
The funeral
of the late Run DMC member was held in New York on November 5.
Jam Master
Jay was the DJ for Run DMC. His real name was Jason Mizell. He was
36 at the time of his death.
Run DMC was
formed in the early 80s by rappers Joe Simmons Darryl 'DMC' McDaniels
and DJ Jam Master Jay. The group was originally known as Orange
Crush. The name was changed to Run DMC in 1982. The group members
had known each other as children attending the same kindergarten.
Run DMC's international
break came when they released the heavy metal/rap single "Walk
This Way" featuring Steve Tyler and Joe Perry of Aerosmith
in 1986. The act became the first rap group to have a video screened
by MTV and the first non-athletes to support Adidas.
Alcoholism
took hold of Joe Simmons after Darryl McDaniels experienced a religious
revival. Further Simmons was falsely accused of rape in Cleveland
culminating in the group's slide in popularity.

There were
eight new entries in the UK singles Top 20 chart this week.
While there
was a brand new No. 1 song it was the Bond theme song which generated
much of the interest over the past two weeks.
Performing
the song is Madonna, the queen of pop a dream come true for the
singer.
"Die Another
Day" entered the chart at No. 3. It was earlier expected to
top the chart but as the day went by it became apparent it would
fall short.
While the visuals
to the song were absolutely fantastic and in keeping with the tradition
of 007 movies the song "Die Another Day" dealt Madonna
a blow with too much focus on the electronically filtered vocals.
Without the
video the song lacks the "Bond" feeling unlike other songs
associated with the film over the past 40 years.
Nevertheless
Madonna joins the ranks of Shirley Bassey, Carly Simon, Tom Jones,
Gladys Knight, Rita Coolidge, Sheena Easton, Duran Duran and A-ha
among others who have recorded the theme song for the James Bond
films.
In an earlier
piece of news released Madonna was named the UK's highest music
earner according to The Sunday Times Pay List published last week.
She qualified
for the list after becoming a UK resident. Madonna earned over £36
million in 2001/2002. She earned £16 million of that amount
after she allowed her song "Ray of Light", to be used
for the launch of Microsoft - Windows XP.
The Top Ten
music earners are 1. Madonna - £36m, 2. Sir Paul McCartney
- £35m, 3. Sir Mick Jagger - £24.5m, 4. Keith Richards
- £24m, 5. Sting - £21.8m, 6. Eric Clapton £14.2m,
7. Rod Stewart £1.2m, 8. Charlie Watts - £12m, 9. Pete
Townshend - £10m, 10. Robbie Williams - £10m.
