The
biggest bar for the Oktoberfest
Guests
at this year's Oktoberfest at the Hilton, Colombo, were provided
with yet another first from the event's principal sponsor Three
Coins - an elegant back-lit 60-foot bar that was the show piece
of the custom-engineered marquee provided by the specialty brewer.
Built specifically
for the event, the bar was equipped with 12 distinctive Three Coins
taps, serving some of the 12 world-class beer types brewed by the
Three Coins Company especially for the Oktoberfest.
"The Oktoberfest
bar, probably the longest bar put into service in this country to
date, is an extension of our marketing philosophy". Built on
the lines of an aircraft hangar, the Three Coins marquee covered
an area of 4000 square feet at the Hilton's Sports Centre Car Park,
and carried the distinctive logos of Three Coins which were visible
from all angles including the air. The marquee can seat more than
200 people at a time.
Here the 60-foot
being set up for the Oktoberfest.
