'Bonsoir'
on Channel EYE
"Bonsoir",
the popular weekly television programme which entertained its thousands
of viewers all over Sri Lanka for the past 17 years on ITN, now
proudly re-launches on Rupavahini's Channel Eye, commencing Monday,
December 2.
"Bonsoir",
which took a breather of nearly three months, will now hit the Lankan
TV screens every Monday at 9.30 p.m., on prime time television -
right after the English News Bulletin. This popular programme which
began in July 1985, with its now legendary French Cancan theme music,
is one of the longest running programmes on Sri Lankan television.
Its long time producer/presenters since 1986, Kumar de Silva and
Yasmin Rajapakse, brought with it a breath of fresh air with their
dynamic presentation and innovative ideas, which they shared with
their appreciative viewers each week.
17 years down
the line, a new generation of producers has moved in, chartering
the programme through its present times. Nearly every member of
the "Bonsoir" team has been through the paces of television
production in Paris.
With this re-launch
on "Channel Eye", the popular Bonsoir Quiz also makes
a welcome comeback, together with French music. Bonsoir is produced
by the Alliance Francaise de Sri Lanka with funding from the French
Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Bonsoir is
now at its peak. There's a new spirit of challenge and motivation
among its team members, a breath of fresh air with new co-ordinator
Pamudi Withanarachchi, and the invaluable exposure at prime time
on national television.
Bonsoir Team
comprises Yasmin and Kumar, together with Pamudi and Majula Dharmakeerthi,
Himali Guneratne, Dilini Jayamanne, Sumaya Samarasinghe, Aminta
Paiva and Maneshka Silva.

Customers
gather impressions with their ears as much as their eyes. Sound
is every bit as vital as comfort, style in decor and indeed creating
that special mood and of course establishing the image of the venue.
"Get the
sound and service right, and people will see it as a place to enjoy
and return to", said Kapila Mohotti, the Manager of Lava and
Assistant Food and Beverage Manager of Hilton. Lava has longed for
with professional sound systems enabling fans to create that aimed-for
audience you dreamed of, a fair capacity in terms of seating.
The location
in the basement car park of the hotel and indeed the disjointedness
feel inspired the interior designers and architect a choice of a
colourful explosion.
Quality encompassed
with contemporary character is indeed reinforced at Lava, and is
now ready to explode with excitement and fun for all.
