Kalpage century puts NCC in command over Panadura SC

Ruwan Kalpage stroked his second successive century as NCC took firm control of their Premier League game against Panadura SC at Maitland Place yesterday.
Helped by a 101 run stand for the 6 th wicket between Kalpage (107) and Rally Tissera (28) NCC hit up 299 all out. Kalpage's century included five sixes and nine boundaries and came off 180 deliveries.

Trailing by 136 runs, Panadura SC did well to be 161 for 5 wickets but were still not out of trouble as they lead by just 35 runs and have only five wickets remaining.

Leg Spinner Kaushal Lokuarachchi picked up a match bag of 8 for 102 as Bloomfield sent Colts crashing to a 10 wicket victory inside two days at Reid Avenue yesterday.
Chasing Bloomfield's first innings total of 256 Colts were skittled out for just 62 runs with medium pacer Dharshana Gamage (4/7) and Lokuarachchi(4/38) being the chies tormentors.

Trailing by 196 runs Colts were forced to follow on. The visitors fared much better but were still bundled out for 217 runs.Shantha Kalawitigoda 84 and M Pushpakumara 51 not out compiled half centuries but it was not enough to avoid defeat.

SSC bowlers teamed up to bowl out Moors SC for 239 and take first innings points in their game at Maitland Place yesterday. Moors did well to bowl out SSC for 377 after the home team were soundly placed at 329 for 5 wickets overnight. Nandika Ranjith was the pick of the bowlers claiming 4 for 74.

Veteran all rounder Chandika Hathurusighe compiled a fine 78 and anchored the Moors innings but received little support from his team mates as they were dismissed for 239.Suresh Perera and Thilan Samaraweera captured three wickets each while Nuwan Zoysa picked up two wickets.

Nisitha Rupasinghe captured 5 for 37 as CCC gained a slender first innings lead against Tamil Union at the Sara Stadium yesterday. Rupasinghe's leg breaks saw Tamil Union all out for 170 in reply to CCC' s 178 all out. For the hosts Indika de Saram and Gayan Wijekoon stroked half centuries but the rest of the batsmen failed to live up to expectations.

BRC on first innings
BRC did well to take first innings points in their game against Galle CC at Havelock Park yesterday.

Galle CC managed 231 all out in reply to BRC's first innings total of 331 with all rounder Anil Riddigammanagedara top scoring with 63.
