No
decision at Asgiriya
The Trinity-Anthonian limited over game at the Asgiriya Stadium
ended in a no decision, just when it should have been throbbing
with excitement. A short shower at 3.45 p.m. forced every one off
the field. Only one of the two available covers was used and that,
too, badly.
Had the covers
been pulled on properly and the operation adequately supervised,
a resumption would have been possible. It was not a happy sight
to see around 50 people dithering about the areas surrounding the
wicket.
As for cricket,
an aggressive 50 from the consistent Rislan, and good efforts from
skipper Rathnayake. Rikaz and Rusli saw the Anthonians to a challenging
241 for 9. Muneer picked up four wickets once more, leg spinner
Ariyaratne two.
St.
Anthony's - 241 for 9 in 50 overs (M. Rislan 50, M. Rusli

2 for 21) - A.K.
